Read the 2 Short Stories for Writing for Engineers.pdf Answer at least two of the following questions: What interested you most about these stories? How well did the authors describe the item? What elements did they include/exclude that you found useful? Explain. What have you gleaned from these readings that you can use in writing your technical description? Unlike the previous discussion, this one should happen quickly. Respond immediately. Then check back in later today or tomorrow to read responses and reply to others.

(#3) LRA: Develop. Best Practices
Your goal in this discussion is to develop best practices for lab report analysis. Discuss your plans for analysis. Share the questions you have about analyzing lab reports. Where would you like support as you are analyzing lab reports? If you would like to use examples, feel free to use the Ecology report since we have all read it. Remember, your first post is due no later than the morning of 2/19. This discussion requires that you submit your own response before you can view other students’ threads. This is a lively discussion that will support your writing of your own analyses. As you …

Professor Rodwell then said: Unfortunately, one of my Lab Reports were rejected. Therefore, I had to do alternative research to locate a more appropriate report that was feasible for the analysis. Below are the three labs that I ended up using for this project. The link will open to the lab in a new tab on your browser. They are online PDF files. Blackboard Discussions
Discussion Board Posts (DBP 150-250 words) The DBPs give you a chance to think through and respond to the reading before class. They will be evaluated based on how well you respond to the topic or question posed. Discussion Board Comments (DBC 50-100 words) For discussion board comments, you will engage your classmates in a discussion. Your goal here is quality engagement with your peers on the topic at hand to further the discussion, to ask meaningful questions, and to extend the conversation on the subject. Unless otherwise specified, you are required to comment on at least 2 students’ posts.
